FAQs
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative partnership designed to help individuals or groups identify blocks that may be holding them back from achieving their goals. By fostering a growth mindset, coaching focuses on increasing awareness, accepting what is and learning to navigate towards an attainable goal. Through increasing clarity and building confidence, clients can improve their decision-making and start moving towards action. Coaches use open-ended, empowering questions and listen without judgment, helping clients discover their own solutions and navigate their path forward.
How is Coaching different?
Coaching differs from therapy, mentoring, and consulting in several ways. Unlike therapy, which focuses on mental health and often explores the past to diagnose and address dysfunction, coaching is action-oriented and only touches on the past to understand current behavior patterns before encouraging clients to take action. While mentors share personal experience and advice to guide others, coaching is client-led, with the coach primarily listening and only offering input when prompted. In contrast to consulting, where consultants provide solutions and analysis but are not involved in execution, coaches work closely with clients throughout the process, partnering with them until they achieve their desired outcomes.
Why do you call yourself an Executive Coach? How is that different from Life Coaching?
Executive coaching focuses on professional challenges, while recognizing that personal life issues are often closely connected, especially in today’s world where the boundaries between work and home are increasingly blurred. That’s why we integrate life coaching into our executive and corporate coaching approach, acknowledging the impact of personal well-being on one’s ability to achieve goals and perform at their best professionally. Work-life balance is a challenge for most individuals, regardless of their personal circumstances. True fulfillment requires considering both personal and professional aspects to create lasting satisfaction and success.
Why is this good for companies? How does Coaching add value?
Coaching adds significant value to companies by boosting employee morale and fostering skill development, leading to reduced turnover, improved performance, better communication, and stronger team dynamics. Employees appreciate when leadership invests in their professional growth, and coaching is an affordable way to show employees they are valued. Additionally, coaching helps develop leadership potential and prepares high-performing individuals for promotions and succession. For CEOs and leadership teams, coaching provides valuable feedback through a comprehensive 360-degree review, ensuring effective communication of strategy, culture, and goals across the company.
